This Policy explains how USG Studio ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit our storefront, contact us, purchase products, or use our software. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1. Who is responsible
USG Studio operates this website and catalog. For privacy requests related to this storefront, contact contact@usgstudio.dev.
Payments and many digital deliveries are handled by Polar.sh as an independent controller/processor for payment data. Their privacy policy applies to information you provide directly to Polar at checkout.
2. Information we collect
Contact data
Name, email address, and message content when you email us or use a contact form.
Purchase data
Order identifiers, product purchased, amount, currency, and fulfillment status — primarily via Polar.
Account data
If accounts are enabled: email, username, authentication tokens, and role (for example admin).
Technical data
IP address, user agent, approximate location derived from IP, pages visited, referrer, and error logs.
Product usage
For our Software & SaaS apps: account email, usage events, and settings needed to operate the service.
We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. Card data is collected and processed by Polar (and its payment partners).
3. How we collect it
- Directly from you (contact, optional accounts, support)
- Through Polar checkout, webhooks, and customer portal events
- Automatically via server logs, hosting edge networks, and security tooling
- From cookies or similar technologies if we enable analytics or preferences
4. Why we use it
We use personal information to:
- Operate and secure the storefront and our software
- Process orders, deliver digital goods, and provide customer support
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Improve products, documentation, and site reliability
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
- Communicate about orders, security issues, or material service changes
Where required by law (for example GDPR), our legal bases include contract performance (purchases and delivery), legitimate interests (security, product improvement), consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligation.
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed with:
- Polar.sh — payments, invoices, digital delivery, customer portal
- Infrastructure providers — for example Cloudflare for hosting, DNS, object storage, and security
- Email / support tools — if used to answer your messages
- Professional advisors — legal, accounting — under confidentiality
- Authorities — when required by law or to protect rights and safety
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Cookies & similar tech
We may use essential cookies or local storage for session/authentication, security, and preference (for example theme). If we add analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this Policy and, where required, request consent.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break login or checkout-related flows.
7. Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above: order and tax records for the period required by law; support emails until resolved plus a reasonable archive period; security logs for a limited operational window; account data until you delete the account or it is inactive and eligible for removal, unless we must retain it.
8. Security
We use administrative and technical measures appropriate to our size and risk profile (HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege admin access, provider security features). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the EU, US, or other regions. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA/UK to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where applicable.
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise rights related to data we hold, email contact@usgstudio.dev. For payment or portal data held only by Polar, contact Polar or use their customer portal as well.
You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe processing violates applicable law.
11. Children
The storefront is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party links
Product demos, documentation, or external websites may link outside USG Studio. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a new version here with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated when appropriate.
14. Contact
